Commonwealth Games Baton Relay 2005
These covers are designed by local artist Sonia Felton and commemorate the Falkland Islands participation in the Commonwealth Games Baton Relay 2005. Opening of Mount Pleasant Airport 20 years on. Date cancelled 12 May 2005 at Mount Pleasant Post Office. Special permission was obtained from the military authorities to use cachets from units current serving at Mount Pleasant Airport. Envelopes supplied by Cable and Wireless.
Price : Four Pounds per cover (including costs of overseas airmail). All profits to the Falkland Island Scout Group. |
