2004 First Issue of Two Pound Coin

This is the first two pound coin and the first bi-metalic coin to be issued in the Falklands.

The Reverse design is based on the Millennium Coin, with the outer ring illustrating the wildlife of the Falklands and the centre section showing the rising sun over a map of the Islands.

The Obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of the Queen.
